  • Candidates who wish to reapply can do so 9 months after their first application.

Hiring Process : Written Test + Technical + HR Interview

Work Location : Bhubaneshwar, Mangalore, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, Mysore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad

How to Apply : There are different ways people get call letter for this drive which includes register on infosys career website, infosys referral system, register on naukri.com, consultancy.

This drive generally takes place in the months of Jan-Feb. However, it mainly depends upon the vacancies.

Experience :

I am sharing herein my off campus infosys drive for 1-2 years experienced candidates which took place in Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune on 7-8 Feb, 2015. In this drive there was written test on 7 Feb and interview on 8 Feb.

First Day  7 Feb :

  • In my case i got call letter from infosys on 30 Jan, 2015 for written test on 7 Feb. Though, i did not register on infosys career website but still i got this call letter so, later on i found out that some consultancy in Delhi applied for me through my naukri.com profile. On the day of the interview i came to know that there were also many people who got call for direct interview w/o written.
  • Test was subjective and there were only 10 questions. It mainly comprised of Arithmetic Reasoning, Analytical Thinking, Mathematical Critical Thinking and Logical Reasoning. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. Actually, it does'nt need preparation if your IQ is good otherwise you could read above topics at Indiabix website.
  • I appeared for this drive in Mumbai and out of 400 candidates only 50 were selected for interview round. The result was announced after 2 hours from test and the date and location for interview .

Second  Day  8 Feb :

Technical Round :

  • There were so many candidates having different job profiles. I have appeared for Oracle DBA profile.
  • The most important thing for experienced professionals is their resume. The technical interview is entirely based upon the contents of your resume.
  • There were two members in the interview panel. First, we had a general intro and then about my day to day activities which i already mentioned in my resume. My interview took around 40 minutes. I was fully prepared for every details i have mentioned in my resume. I have expected  theoretical questions from oracle and sql server but there were more of situation based. Since, i was having a good exposure to work and practical experience i have answered most of their questions. The key thing in technical round is your confidence if you know ans. and if you don't then say no instead of manipulating because they are very smart to catch you.
  • In technical round other then your knowledge your attitude and behavior is also noticed like you should never argue on any point, politely say no if you don't know answer.
  • After technical interview there was HR round. Now there was an interesting thing that i noticed they have not announced the result for technical round instead they have the list of candidates who have to appear for HR round. So, HR people said to other candidates that they will inform them later via mail but actually they were not selected. It means if you have cleared the technical round you will have the HR round at the same time.

HR round :

  • In HR round mainly three things were discussed location, package, working in shifts and notice period. There is no negotiation on package offered by infosys as there are some standards according to job level irrespective of your current package. After all this they say that they will get back to you in a week with the rest of the process however, they din't confirm your selection at this moment.
  • Now i waited for 3 weeks no mail and call. Then finally, i got offer letter on 3 March, 2015. I have gone through many blogs and websites for the time taken by infosys to roll out offer letter and there were different experiences. But, i have found that since, its a big drive all over the country at the same time it usually takes one month to roll out offer letters. Also, if you have given HR round then you are 100% selected though it may take time to get ol depending upon your technology.
  • I have mentioned 45 days as my notice period but i got early joining so on my request they have  postponed the joining date. The best thing about infosys is that once you get the ol then they will wait for you and you can mention 3 months notice period w/o hesitation.

Hiring Process : Online-test + Group Discussion + Video Synthesis + Personal Interview

Work Location : Bangalore

Salary Offered : 18 lacs in 3 yrs and there is no bond.

Experience :

I am sharing herein my Mu Sigma offcampus recruitment drive held at Bhopal in July. There were approx. 500 candidates form different institutes all over the country. Only those candidates were allowed to appear in the drive who fulfill the above criterion as well as their college must be registered in mu-sigma. It was a two day process first day was only online test and second day the entire process of the short listed candidates.

First Day :

  • Firstly there was verification regarding the identity and a form was given to fill the mu-sigma information form and then they have provided the user id and password which will be later used in online test conducted by Cocubes.
  • In online test there were 3 sections and 35 minutes duration (Objective type).

                1. Quantative Aptitude -  7 questions
Topics covered :  Equations, P&C, Probability, Time, Work and Distance, age related problems.

                2. Verbal Reasoning and Data Interpretation - 8 questions
Topics : Statements & assertion based (easy) and bar and line chart in DI (easy but lengthy)

                3. C programming - 5 questions
Only statements are given u hv to predict the output (need preparation).

Note: There is a sectional cutoff so if u want to clear the test then u must attempt all the sections not necessarily all questions but should be correct as there is negative marking as well.

  •  In this drive may be cutoff was low so hopefully around 40% were shortlisted for the next round. They will send u an email or may be call u for getting shortlisted.

 Second Day :

  • First of all there is a presentation about company and job profile, package and then there is a sort of interaction between the company hr and students. I think there is a myth that if u ask questions and interact during this session u will get noticed but in actual it doesn't matter rather than i'll  suggest if u have good questions to ask then go on otherwise just be seated and listen carefully. Generally, the qus asked are related to mu sigma(name) , future aspect, growth, big data, decision science, package and bond.
  • After presentation generally there is a GD round but in this particular drive they have conducted video synthesis round and case study (new) round prior to GD and then have announced the combined result after which candidates get shortlisted for personal interview. In this round they have shortlisted one third (approx. 80) of the remaining.
  • In GD round a group is formed and there are 10-11 members in each group. There may be any topic in Gd but in this drive some of them includes : Democratic government or dictatorship which is better, abstract topic like black & white, who is better manager men/women, etc.I would suggest that there is no need to prepare for GD just be familiar with the abstract topics and be confident.
  •  Now my experience say that there are two ways to clear the GD round (straight forward). First there is    a hell lot chaos during GD and no one is listening to u so if HR doesn't interrupt in b/w then u have to  shout and try to get the attention anyhow and just put your points don't think it would be wrong to  interrupt.Second if HR interrupts and ask to say one by one then u have got it man just be confident,  specific and don't stop until hr ask to stop and at last just try to get the opportunity to summarize  everything (if u do so u r through).

  • Personal Interview is the last stage which requires both your performance as well as luck. Since, luck is not in your hand so u have to perform well and give your best. In this drive first of all they have asked to explain the case study and video synthesis which was already done prior to GD round. Now you have to explain all the points you have written in the case study and about video. Then they have asked general hr qus like about yourself, hobbies, etc. Then they have given a puzzle to solve. At last if u have any qus u can ask.
  •  In video synthesis round they have shown a video clip of movie Gandhi (which i came to know later on) and then you have to write the theme of the video shown (i.e. what u get to know or can learn from the clip).
  • In case study they have mentioned  that there is a telecom company in USA and provided some data like call/per day, wait time , etc. so what can be the probable business questions that u can answer using this data.
  • Puzzle was like there is a 3x3 matrix you have to fill 1-9 such that the sum of each row, column and diagonal should be equal. One more was there are two time sand glasses one of 11 hr and another of 7 hr u have to calculate 15 hrs.
